New Brighton is a new suburban residential neighbourhood in the south-east quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located at the eastern edge of the city, and is bounded by 52 Street E to the west, 72 Street E to the east, McIvor Boulevard to the south and the Shepard landfill site to the north. When the city completes its proposed East Freeway (Stoney Trail extension), this will replace 72 Street as the community's eastern boundary.

The community was designed by Carma Developers LP. The community is touted by Carma as being their first that is "on-line", i.e. there is an interactive community website.

A well-connected community with well-connected homes - both Telus and Shaw can provide New Brighton residents with high-speed Internet options via ADSL or broadband cable connections. New Brighton is Carma's first "wired" community from day one. All homes offer In-Home Networks as a standard feature. This allows for the best possible distribution network of audio and video signals, and these homes will easily accept features such as security systems, and other smart home options.

It is represented in the Calgary City Council by Ward 12 Alderman Ric McIver.
